98 Valet · Driver Safety Card
If tonight goes wrong
Keep this on your phone. Two minutes to read, and it's written to protect you.
The one rule
If it's urgent, call. Don't message.
The bot handles jobs, not emergencies. Anything involving safety, an accident, or the police — call 8989 7896.
Someone is hurt
- Call 995.Nothing else matters until that's done.
- Move to a safe spot if the car is in traffic.
- Call us. Stay on the scene until you're told otherwise.
Never worry about the fare, the booking, or the app in this situation. We sort all of it afterwards.
An accident with no injuries
- Stop. Switch on hazards.
- Photograph both vehicles, all angles, plus the road and any damage.
- Exchange details — name, number, plate, insurer.
- Call us before you agree to anything.
Don't admit fault and don't agree a cash settlement at the roadside, even if it seems easier — you'll be worse off. Get the details, call, and sort it properly afterwards.
The passenger
Our customers have been drinking. Most are fine. Occasionally they aren't — and none of these are yours to absorb alone.
They're unwell or unresponsive
Drive to the nearest A&E and call us on the way. No charge for the diversion, no question about your pay.
They're aggressive or threatening
Stop somewhere lit and public. Get out if you need to. Call 999 if you feel at risk, then call us.
You are neverexpected to keep driving someone who frightens you. Ending a trip early for your own safety is always the right call, and you're paid in full.
They won't get out at the destination
Park safely, open the door, call us. Never make physical contact and never take their belongings out for them.
The car
Photograph it before you drive, every time
All four sides plus the dashboard, before you set off and again after you park. Send them to ops.
This is your protection. If a customer claims damage that was already there, those photos are the only thing that settles it.
How damage actually gets settled
You drive as an authorised driver on the customer's own motor policy, so their insurance covers the car. Anything outside that — an excess, or minor damage the owner would rather not claim for — is settled between you and the car owner, and any other party involved. We help you coordinate it and point you to a workshop, but the arrangement is yours to agree. That's in the agreement you sign.
Money
Never argue about the fare
If a customer disputes the price or refuses to pay, take what they'll give, note it, and leave politely. Tell us.
You are paid your fullcut regardless of what the customer does. A shortfall is the company's problem — so there's nothing to argue about.
If the customer never shows
Wait the grace period, call them, then call us. Don't just leave — your waiting time is guaranteed, but only if we know about it.
