98 Valet — Privacy Policy

Version 1.1 · Effective 16 July 2026 · Updated 21 July 2026

1. Who we are

98 Valet is a drive-home valet service operated by 98 VALET PTE. LTD. (UEN 202632188C) (“we”, “us”). This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal data in accordance with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).

2. What we collect

Booking data: your name (optional), mobile number, pickup and drop-off locations (including postal codes and GPS coordinates you share), vehicle licence plate and model, requested pickup times.

Booking history: past trips associated with your mobile number, which lets us recognise you and pre-fill your usual addresses and vehicle when you return.

Messages and chat identifiers: conversations with our booking coordinator (web chat, Telegram, or WhatsApp), the chat IDs those platforms assign (e.g. your Telegram chat ID), and delivery records of the messages we send you.

Service records: if a booked trip is missed, we record the unpaid no-show fee against your mobile number, and we may decline new bookings until it is settled (see our Terms, clause 5.4).

If a friend books for you: your name (if provided) and mobile number, given to us by the person making the booking so we can coordinate your trip. Our first message to you will always identify us and link this policy.

Advertising measurement: if you arrive at our booking page from a Google ad, we record the ad-click identifier (gclid) attached to your visit.

We do not collect payment card details — payment is made directly to your driver by cash or PayNow. We do not use advertising cookies; a single functional cookie keeps our operations staff signed in.

3. How we use your data

To provide the service: matching you with a driver, coordinating the trip, sending trip confirmations and your driver's details, and contacting you about your booking. These are service messages and are sent for the performance of the booking.

AI-assisted coordination: our booking conversations are processed by an AI service (Anthropic), which receives your messages and, for returning customers, your saved booking details (name, usual addresses, vehicle) solely to run the booking conversation. See section 5 on overseas processing.

To recognise you as a returning customer and speed up your next booking.

For safety and records: pre-drive vehicle photographs, trip logs, and settlement records.

Advertising measurement: if your visit carried a Google ad-click identifier, we report the completed booking and its value back to Google Ads to measure our advertising. This report contains the click identifier and value only — never your name, number, or addresses.

Marketing — only with your consent: on your first booking we ask whether we may contact you with updates and occasional offers from 98 Valet. Reply YES to opt in or STOP to opt out; your booking is unaffected either way. You can withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP to any message or contacting us. We honour the Do Not Call provisions of the PDPA: marketing messages are sent only to numbers that have given us clear consent.

4. Who we share it with

Your assigned drivers: the valet driver and recovery driver for your trip receive your name, mobile number, pickup and drop-off locations, and vehicle details — the minimum needed to perform the service, and only after we have messaged you first. Our drivers are independent contractors bound by confidentiality obligations.

Service providers: cloud hosting and database infrastructure; messaging platforms (Telegram, WhatsApp); our AI booking coordinator (Anthropic); and Google Ads for advertising measurement as described above. Location lookups use the Singapore Land Authority's OneMap service.

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We never disclose one customer's information — including any outstanding balance — to another customer, including friends who book on their behalf. We may disclose data where required by law.

5. Overseas processing

Some of our service providers (AI processing, messaging platforms, advertising measurement, and hosting) store or process data outside Singapore, including in the United States. We only transfer personal data overseas under contractual arrangements that require a standard of protection comparable to the PDPA.

6. How we protect it

Access to customer data is restricted to authorised operations staff via authenticated login. Data is stored on access-controlled systems. Messages to drivers contain only what each trip requires. In the unlikely event of a data breach that is likely to result in significant harm, we will notify the Personal Data Protection Commission and affected individuals in accordance with the PDPA's data-breach notification requirements.

7. How long we keep it

Booking and settlement records are retained for up to 5 years to meet legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution needs, then deleted or anonymised. No-show fee records are kept until settled and are reviewed periodically. Marketing consent records are kept for as long as the consent is relied upon. OTP login codes are deleted on use or shortly after expiry.

8. Your rights

You may request access to or correction of your personal data, ask what data we hold about your number and how it has been used or disclosed in the past year, or withdraw consent to marketing at any time. Withdrawal of consent to essential service communications may mean we cannot fulfil a booking.

Contact our Data Protection Officer: Desmond (Director), 98valet@gmail.com, or via your booking chat. We will respond within 30 days.

9. If you apply to drive with us

When you apply as a valet or recovery driver, we collect: your name, mobile number, a profile photo (shown to customers so they can recognise you), your driving licence details and photo, your Singpass Traffic-Police licence-status record, years of driving experience, your PayNow number (to pay you), an emergency contact's name and number, and — for recovery riders — your vehicle plate and model. We also record your signed contractor agreement and, during shifts, your live location (shared via Telegram) for dispatch.

We use this data to verify your licence and eligibility, dispatch you to jobs, pay you, contact your emergency contact if something happens on a job, and meet our records obligations. We do not collect your NRIC number.

Your data is disclosed only as needed to run the service (e.g. your name, photo, and number are shown to the customer for a trip you are assigned). We keep applicant data only as long as needed to assess and, if approved, engage you; unsuccessful applications are deleted within a reasonable period. You may access or correct your data, or ask about it, by contacting us.

Your emergency contact: please make sure the person you list is aware you have given us their number for this purpose.

10. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time; the latest version is always at this page. Material changes will be highlighted in our messages to you.
