98 Valet — Terms and Conditions

Version 1.1 · Effective 16 July 2026 · Last updated 21 July 2026

By booking or using any service provided under the 98 Valet brand (operated by 98 VALET PTE. LTD., UEN 202632188C, the "Company", "we", "us"), you ("Customer", "you") agree to these Terms and Conditions ("Terms").

We're a hospitality business at heart: these Terms exist so that every trip is safe, fairly priced, and clearly understood by both sides. If anything here is unclear, just ask us in your booking chat — we're happy to explain.

1. The Service

1.1 98 Valet provides a drive-home valet service: a valet driver ("Valet Driver") drives you home (or to another destination in Singapore) in your own vehicle, supported by a recovery driver ("Recovery Driver") who ferries the Valet Driver (together, the "Service").

1.2 The Service operates within mainland Singapore and Sentosa, 24/7. Night bookings (8:00pm–6:00am pickups) may be made on demand; daytime pickups (6:00am–8:00pm) require at least 2 hours' notice so a driver can be scheduled.

1.3 Independent contractors. The Company is a service platform that appoints vetted individuals as Valet Drivers and Recovery Drivers solely as independent contractors. They are not employees or agents of the Company and have no authority to bind it contractually. The Company's duty is to exercise reasonable care in the screening, selection, and coordination of appointed contractors. All Valet Drivers hold a valid Singapore Class 3 or 3A driving licence.

2. Customer Representations

By booking, you represent and warrant that:

(a) you are the registered owner of the vehicle, or have the owner's express authorization to engage the Service for it;

(b) the vehicle holds a valid comprehensive motor insurance policy issued by a reputable insurer that covers the driving of the vehicle by the appointed Valet Driver pursuant to the Service (see Clause 3), valid road tax, and a valid Certificate of Entitlement;

(c) the vehicle is roadworthy, legal to drive, and has sufficient fuel or charge to complete the journey;

(d) the vehicle will be used for personal, non-commercial, and lawful purposes only;

(e) the destination(s) you confirm at booking are where you wish to be taken. Our drivers will follow the booking, so please make sure it's right — and tell us in the chat if anything changes.

3. Authorized Driver & Insurance

3.1 By engaging the Service, you authorize the appointed Valet Driver to drive your vehicle, and you confirm that the appointed Valet Driver is an authorized driver for the purposes of your comprehensive motor insurance coverage for the duration of the booking.

3.2 It is your responsibility to ensure your policy provides this cover. If your policy is third-party-only, imposes named-driver restrictions, or otherwise would not cover the appointed driver, you must tell us before the trip begins; we may decline the job in that case. If you are unsure, we encourage you to check with your insurer — most comprehensive policies in Singapore cover authorized drivers, but policies differ.

3.3 We may ask for your insurer's name at booking as part of our records.

4. Pricing & Payment

4.1 Charges (all in Singapore dollars):

ItemCharge
Standard trip, booked 1 hour or more before pickup (9:00pm–3:59am pickups)$45
Standard trip, booked less than 1 hour before pickup (9:00pm–3:59am pickups)$50

Group booking, 2 cars setting off together (per car)$42
Group booking, 3 or more cars setting off together (per car)$40
Flexible-valet goodwill discount (offered by us in high-demand windows, at our discretion)$5 off your fare, to a minimum fare of $40 per car
Each additional destination / drop-off$10
Sentosa surcharge (pickup or drop-off on Sentosa)$10
Waiting: first 15 minutes from the confirmed pickup timeFree
Waiting beyond the 15-minute grace period$20 per 20-minute block or part thereof

Gantry/ERP charges, Sentosa island admission charges, and parking charges incurred during the trip are borne by the Customer via the vehicle's IU/card.

4.2 Group pricing applies to cars booked together in one order that set off from the same pickup point at the same time. If cars are removed from a group order before dispatch, the remaining bookings are re-priced to the tier that then applies (e.g. a 3-car order that becomes 2 cars is re-priced from $40 to $42 per car); we will message you the updated fare. Cars already on the road keep their confirmed fare.

4.3 Payment is collected by the Valet Driver at the completion of the trip, by cash or PayNow. Payment is due in full on completion. A payment reference is provided with PayNow transfers; a receipt is available on request in your booking chat. Prices are not subject to GST (the Company is not GST-registered; if this changes, published prices will be updated).

4.4 The fare confirmed at booking applies to that booking, subject only to Clause 4.2 (group re-pricing before dispatch) and charges that depend on the trip itself (waiting time, fuel top-up under Clause 10).

4.5 Tips are entirely voluntary and never expected. Tips received are shared equally between your driver and the team bonus pool, which funds service-excellence rewards for our drivers.

5. Booking, Cancellation & No-Show

5.1 Bookings are confirmed when we send you a confirmation message. Driver details follow before pickup.

5.2 Cancellation by you is free at any time before a driver team is dispatched. Once a team is en route, we may charge a call-out fee of $20.

5.3 No-show. If, after arriving at the pickup point, our team cannot reach you and you do not appear within 40 minutes of the agreed pickup time, we may close the job and the full confirmed fare becomes payable as a no-show fee. This reflects our real costs: your driver reserved his night for your trip, is paid for his waiting time regardless, and the slot could not be given to another customer. If you'd like the team to keep waiting beyond this point, just tell us in the chat — waiting charges under Clause 4.1 continue to apply with your consent.

5.4 While a no-show fee remains unpaid, we may respectfully decline further bookings for the numbers on that booking until it is settled. Once settled, you are always welcome back.

5.5 Our side of the bargain. If we cannot reach you within a reasonable time of the estimated arrival, you may cancel without charge. Arrival times are estimates (Clause 11), but leaving you stranded is not who we are — we will always tell you honestly where your driver is.

5.6 We may refuse a booking or terminate an accepted job (including at pickup) where the vehicle appears unroadworthy or uninsured, the Customer is abusive, or the driver reasonably believes the job is unsafe. Where we terminate for safety at pickup, no fee is charged.

6. Condition of Vehicle & Pre-Drive Inspection

6.1 Before driving, the Valet Driver will conduct a brief walk-around inspection and photograph the vehicle's exterior condition, dashboard (fuel level and mileage), and any pre-existing damage. By handing over your keys you consent to this inspection and photography.

6.2 The photographs form the agreed record of the vehicle's condition at handover. Any damage claim will be assessed against this record.

7. Damage & Claims

7.1 Report any alleged damage arising from the Service in your booking chat within 12 hours of drop-off, with photographs. Claims reported later may be declined, as intervening use cannot be excluded.

7.2 Minor damage (e.g. scratches to bodywork, kerb rash) attributable to the Valet Driver: repair will be arranged with the contractor at a Company-nominated workshop, or compensated at the reasonable cost of such repair. We may additionally offer goodwill compensation at our discretion to uphold our service standards.

7.3 Damage claimed under your motor insurance: where the Valet Driver is at fault, the liability of the Company and the contractor is limited to the excess amount stated in your motor insurance policy for the relevant claim.

7.4 Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts liability for death or personal injury resulting from negligence, or any other liability which cannot be excluded or restricted under the Unfair Contract Terms Act of Singapore.

8. Your Wellbeing & Personal Property

8.1 Our customers have often been drinking — that is the point of the Service, and we plan for it. Our drivers are instructed to see the trip through to your void deck, lobby, or driveway. If at any point you feel unwell, tell your driver.

8.2 If our team reasonably believes you require medical attention, they may contact SCDF (995), your emergency contact if provided, or divert to the nearest medical facility. No fee beyond the confirmed fare applies to a medical diversion.

8.3 If the vehicle interior requires professional cleaning due to soiling during the trip, the reasonable actual cost of professional cleaning may be charged.

8.4 We do not accept custody of valuables or personal articles. Please remove valuables before handover. Except where caused by the negligence or wilful misconduct of an appointed contractor, we are not responsible for loss of or damage to items left in the vehicle.

9. Traffic Offences & Fines

9.1 Fines or penalties arising from the Valet Driver's own driving conduct during the trip (e.g. speeding captured on camera while the Valet Driver was driving) are the responsibility of the Valet Driver / the Company.

9.2 Fines, ERP charges, or penalties arising from the condition or documentation of the vehicle (e.g. expired road tax, illegal modifications) are the Customer's responsibility.

10. Fuel

10.1 If the vehicle has insufficient fuel or charge to complete the journey safely, the Valet Driver may top up as reasonably necessary, and you must reimburse the cost on completion of the trip (receipt provided).

11. Delays

11.1 Arrival times are estimates. We are not liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, prior trips, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Clause 5.5 applies where we run late.

12. Limitation of Liability

12.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of income, or loss of opportunity arising out of or in connection with the Service.

12.2 Subject to Clauses 7 and 12.3, the Company's aggregate liability for any booking shall not exceed ten (10) times the trip fee paid for that booking.

12.3 Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

13. Customer Conduct

13.1 Abusive, threatening, or violent behaviour towards drivers will result in immediate termination of the job (full fee chargeable) and may be reported to the Singapore Police Force. We may refuse future bookings.

14. Personal Data

14.1 We collect and use personal data (name, contact number, pickup/drop-off addresses, vehicle details, booking and payment records) in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 for: performing the Service, processing payments, customer support, safety and security verification, legal compliance, and — with consent — service updates and marketing. Our full Privacy Policy is published at /privacy on our booking site.

15. General

15.1 Third-party rights. Appointed contractors may enforce the protections given to them in these Terms under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 2001. Otherwise, a person who is not a party has no rights under that Act.

15.2 Amendments. We may amend these Terms by publishing the updated version with a new version number and effective date. For material changes we will give reasonable notice in our messages to you. Changes never apply to bookings already confirmed.

15.3 Assignment. You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our consent.

15.4 Waiver. Failure to enforce any right is not a waiver of that right.

15.5 Governing law & disputes. These Terms are governed by Singapore law. The parties shall first use reasonable endeavours to resolve disputes amicably. Nothing in these Terms prevents either party from bringing a claim in the Small Claims Tribunals where eligible; otherwise the Courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction.
