1. Relationship
You provide driving services to 98 VALET PTE. LTD. (UEN 202632188C) as an independent contractor. This agreement does not create employment; you are responsible for your own income tax and CPF (if any). You may accept or decline shifts, but jobs dispatched to you during a shift you have accepted must be served.
2. Licence & fitness to drive
You warrant that you hold a valid Singapore Class 3 or 3A driving licence, that it is not suspended or revoked, and that you have no pending charges, court proceedings, or offences that could affect your licence or your suitability to drive customers.
You must inform us IMMEDIATELY if your licence is suspended or revoked, if you are charged with any driving or criminal offence, or if you accumulate demerit points that put your licence at risk. Driving for 98 Valet with an invalid licence is grounds for immediate termination and you will bear all resulting liability.
You agree to re-submit your Singpass licence-status record when we ask (typically every 6 months).
You must never drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs while on shift. Zero tolerance.
3. Pay
Valet drivers earn per trip according to the published pay schedule (base $12 per standard trip, plus published shares of extra stops, Sentosa, off-peak, waiting time, and boosts). Tips must be declared in full at the end of each trip: you keep 80% of each declared tip; 20% is distributed to the recovery drivers who served that night. Trips served without a recovery driver: you keep 100% of the tip.
Recovery drivers earn per leg according to the published schedule (deliver and pickup legs, plus published Sentosa and off-peak additions), plus a pro-rata share of 20% of the night's declared tips.
The schedule may be updated with notice; the rates in force when a job is served apply. Your itemized pay slip is issued at the close of every night.
4. Nightly settlement — before you go home
Valet drivers collect fares and tips from customers on the company's behalf. At the close of each night, you must PayNow the amount stated on your settlement (your collections minus your earnings) to 98 VALET PTE. LTD. using the payment details shown on that settlement, quoting the reference given in the comments field — BEFORE ending your shift and going home.
Money collected from customers belongs to the company until settled. Repeated late settlement, or any shortfall without explanation, is grounds for suspension.
Recovery drivers are paid their night's earnings by PayNow by 6am.
5. Shift commitment
A night shift runs from your check-in until the coordinator releases you, between 5:00am and 6:00am depending on demand. Once you accept a shift, you are on it until released — the whole service rests on every driver who said he would be there, being there.
Leaving a shift midway without informing the coordinator is abandonment: your earnings for that entire night are forfeited, and your remaining jobs are reassigned. Repeated abandonment ends this arrangement immediately.
Genuine emergencies happen. Inform the coordinator IMMEDIATELY and we will release you and cover your jobs. Even in an emergency, payment of that night's earnings remains at the company's discretion.
6. Customer care & conduct
Our customers have usually been drinking — that is the service. You will be patient, courteous, and professional at all times. See the customer safely to their void deck, lobby, or door.
Before driving any customer's car: photograph all four sides and the dashboard (fuel and mileage). This protects YOU as much as the company.
Follow the app and coordinator instructions: reply START when you set off, and DONE when you have parked and handed over. When you START, record how many minutes you waited past the booked time (if any) — waiting fees depend on it.
Drive the customer's vehicle with proper care, within all traffic laws. Fines from your own driving conduct are yours.
7. Customer data — strict confidentiality
Customer names, numbers, and addresses are disclosed to you only to perform each job, and are removed from your app when the trip completes. You must not copy, keep, or use any customer's contact details, and you must never solicit a 98 Valet customer for private or competing services. Breach is grounds for immediate termination and legal action.
8. Location sharing during shifts
While on shift, you agree to share your live location with the 98 Valet dispatch system (via the Telegram bot). This is used only for dispatch, fetching you faster, and trip records during your shift — never outside your shift hours. Location data is handled under our privacy policy.
9. Vehicles & insurance
Customers engage us on the basis that their comprehensive motor insurance covers an authorized driver. You must drive with the care of a professional; where damage results from your negligence, you bear liability up to the excess of the customer's policy as set out in the customer Terms, and you must report ANY incident, however minor, to the company immediately — before leaving the scene where safe.
10. Term & termination
Either side may end this arrangement at any time. Outstanding settlements and pay are settled at the next close of night. Clauses 7 (customer data) and 9 (incident liability) survive termination.
11. Personal data
We collect and hold your application details, licence records, signature, shift and location data, and payment records to operate the service, under the PDPA and our privacy policy. Your licence details are never shared with customers; customers see only your name, photo (if provided), and contact number for the duration of a job.
