The number that matters more than the headline rate is what's included in it, because that's where most of the confusion (and most of the surprise charges) tends to happen.
What's usually extra, market-wide
Almost no operator's headline price is the number you actually pay if your trip is anything but the simplest case. The line items that typically get added on top of a base fare across the market include:
- Extra stops — dropping at a second address (a friend's place, a second passenger) before your final destination.
- Waiting time — if your driver arrives and you're not ready yet, or you ask him to wait while you run back inside.
- Off-peak or late-night charges — pickups outside an operator's normal hours, however that operator defines them.
- Distance and location charges — most operators charge one flat rate, but some add a fee for far or remote spots such as Tuas or Sentosa.
- Island access fees — trips involving Sentosa specifically, since the causeway toll and longer routing add real cost.
None of these are unreasonable to charge for — a driver waiting 40 minutes outside a restaurant is doing real, billable work. The issue for customers is usually not knowing which of these apply, or by how much, until the trip is already over.

Distance-based — you only pay for your own trip. Each figure is where a trip near town starts; a longer drive home adds to it, and the quote you get before you book is the whole number — no hidden multiplier on top and no booking fee. The late-night rate is a little dearer because after 11:30pm on a weekend is when every driver in Singapore is spoken for; Early Bird is cheaper because heading home before 11:30pm is exactly the trip we can serve best. Why the fare depends on your trip
We drive you home from anywhere on the island, but the fare isn't one number for everyone. A single flat price makes a short ride home pay for someone else's long one; we price your actual trip instead, which is why a nearby trip starts from $33. Your pickup time sets the starting rate, and your pickup area and the distance to your drop-off add to it — a Peak pickup in town going a few minutes down the road pays from $45, a longer drive across the island pays more. Either way, you see one all-in price before you book.
What can still change the final number after that is the situational stuff: how many drop-offs, whether you're heading to Sentosa, and whether your driver ends up waiting.
